Welcome to Greenfield
First of all, welcome to our town! It was hoped to have been under better condition, but we welcome you nonetheless.
The current route will take riders through areas that were affected by the devastating storm that occurred in Greenfield on May 21, which left four residents dead and over 200 homes, the hospital, and the fire department destroyed.
We ask that you remain on the route to preserve your safety and the safety of your beloved bikes!
The link below will take you to a map of all the local open businesses, food vendors, activities, and other necessities for your day spent here on July 23!
Greenfield Residents
After the disaster on May 21, the RAGBRAI Greenfield committee seriously deliberated how to pivot plans quickly, and whether it would be possible to host at all. Not only were members' homes directly affected, but priorities were now shifted to help Greenfield residents. In the wake of this tragedy, Greenfield stepped up, and so did the official RAGBRAI team to match. With their help and network, the hard work and cooperation of our committee members, and the backing of the RAGBRAI community, we've decided to invite RAGBRAI to Greenfield so they can show love to our devastated town.
Thanks to the help of the Iowa RAGBRAI team, and the hard work and cooperation of our committee members, we're ready to welcome RAGBRAI to Greenfield!
With RABRAI nation's support, we hope to rise after the storm and build back better than ever.
Volunteering has been a common sight in Greenfield. The kindness and selflessness we've seen in the past weeks has been unmatched. If you'd like to volunteer at RAGBRAI Greenfield, click the button below to enter your name on our Volunteer Form, and we will see you there!
