A Star Spangled Homecoming - 4th of July Celebration
Star Spangled Homecoming combines the "Bonds at Home" and the 4th of July celebrations in Greenfield.
"Bonds at Home"
Playwright and creative project developer John Busbee returns to Greenfield and Adair County to write the second of a planned trilogy of plays anchored during the World War II era. Inspired by The Sidey Collection, whose Americana images and memorable editorial writing are a beacon of journalistic leadership, Bonds at Home will run through the July Fourth weekend as part of the "Star-Spangled Homecoming" events and celebrations in Greenfield. The Cumberland Rose Players, whose founding members included Ed Sidey, again provides the talent and interpretive skills in presenting the sequel to last year's Bonds of War. Lest anyone who may not have seen that first play think they won't be able to follow this one, playwright Busbee provides assuring words.
